The Yard Invitational was a remote 12 person tournament. Featuring multiple gameplay modes The Yard pushed the complexity of the visual presentation of a remote show. For the first time Madden brought up to 6 camera sources on screen during gameplay. The group stage saw 8 teams play 2v2, followed by the draft games where guest contributors joined for a 3v3 format. The show featured 3 remote hosts, 2 remote on air commentators, 4 remote team captains, and 8 remote players.
